WOMEN IN CHRIST MINISTRIES (WIC) Was inspired by God through a vision that was given to me, to take the word of God to the streets. "The spirit of the Lord is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek, He hath sent me to build up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound." Isaiah 61
WIC is more than a Women's Ministry, it is a sisterhood in Christ Jesus. WIC'S head office is Located in Peoria Arizona under the direction and leadership of Pastor Cherlyn Gresham. (WIC) Being newly established, aims to honor "The Great Commission", given to all believers by Jesus to "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every Creature." Mark 16:15
To begin, I was born a catholic, raised a Jehovah's Witness and I was saved in Lively Stone Pentecostal Church. Now, along Side My Husband (Jesse Gresham, I attend Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church. My mother taught me how to live and survive in the world but my aunt Dorothy taught me the way of Jehovah. It was then that I was introduced to God. She would make me recite Psalms 83:18 over and over again but I still didn't know him. The first time I heard the lord's voice, I was on my way to an abortion clinic. God told me to turn around, but I decided that I wasn't going to do that so, I kept walking, I heard the voice again. He said that she belonged to him and that I would return her back to him. He told me to look up and I would see the name I was to call her. The Lord Stopped me in front of Trinity Baptist Church. I learned then to Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your path. It is with that trust; that i started to serve God.
Graduating Salutatorian in law and business, becoming an educator of entrepreneurship, Mentoring and raising six children. During the last 23 years, I have been an usher, a Sunday school teacher, financial secretary; children's directress of the choir. I've even served in the kitchen. I have cooked for the church; I have and still sing on the choir. I have led devotional services and was ordained as a Missionary then Minister. My home has been a house of refuge for many throughout the years, and I have taken in children the children God sent to me. Children that needed prayer and most of all God!
Here at (WIC) we are striving to reach all in crisis. Many don't realize how much it takes to walk faithfully in this Christian path. In serving the Lord, we have become targets for satan. We are in need of salvation: and in that the gospel, prayer and encouragement from the saints.
Problems arise when too much of the world's influence, attributes, and philosopies enter into churches, thereby "changing the way we do church". So I continue to unite with women who love the Lord, are called to his purpose, and are passionate about building others in the faith.
(WIC) is a ministry that has recognized how the traditional way of worship and service to God has changed Yet, God has NOT changed! When Jesus gave us this great command to go out and preach the Gospel to every creature and nation, bidding them in; he never said a building. NO! this meant bringing the people to God. We are the church and the Holy Ghost dwells within. It is our mission here at WIC to Glorify God by reaching the public in public, not confining the gospel to a building, but taking the gospel to the streets. " A Ministry Without Walls" Preach the word, be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering. 2 Timothy 4:2 K
Mother Margaret Jones is located in New Bern, North Carolina. In addition to serving as our organization's Treasure, she is an evangelist, teacher, and phenomenal woman of God. We are thankful for all that she does to help us help and unite others in the name of Jesus Christ.
To God Be the Glory. My name is Shirl Jones. I was born in New York on October 4th 1964. I am a widow with 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
I grew up as a Jehovah's Witness from the age of 7 or 8. When I turned 18 I decided that I wasn’t happy with being a Jehovah witness, so I attended church with my father until he passed. In the year 2002 I met a sister and she invited me to her church. "Lively Stone Pentecostal Church"where the Pastor is, Bishop Geraldine Scott became my home church.
Bishop Scott taught me sound doctrine and why it was so important that as God’s children we must live a life of Holiness. I was appointed to the Usher Board, and I was also in the Lively Stone Choir. In the year of 2005, I left Lively Stone and started attending a new church. The church of God in Christ Jesus, became my new church home. I was appointed to the Ushers Board and I was also in the choir. Bishop W H Amos was the Pastor. The teaching was also of sound doctrine. I really enjoyed being a part of the church. I remained there.
In the year 2014 I was in a very bad relationship that was very abusive (mostly verbal). I was not myself as I began abusing myself with alcohol to numb the pain that I was going through. Even though I was not truly myself I still continued to pray to the Lord seeking comfort and peace. Then it happened, the Lord spoke to me and said it was time for me to go abroad and tell of the Goodness of Jesus. On June 28th of the year 2014 I heard the voice of the Lord say go to Miami Florida. My youngest daughter and her family were there, and they said I could stay with them. I obeyed the Lord and I Moved to Miami Florida. I have been here for 6 years now. My home church now is called Prayer Palace International Miniseries. Dave and Icilda Warner are the Pastors.
I have known Minister Cheryln Oliver for over 20 years. We both attended Lively Stone church. Now we have come together again and now I am so very proud to be a part of Women in Christ Ministries. We are a Family of Women who's main goal is to Up lift and encourage Women and to help and give words of encouragement and kindness to all we meet. Giving all the invitation of salvation. Thank you, Jesus, for talking to me and I am so very glad that I obeyed your instruction. It has accredited me the honor of being one of the Ministers Here at Women in Christ (WIC). I represent WIC In Miami Florida.
